Dear readers so sorry that I haven’t been blogging for a week! But instead of doing a blog every day I am going to write every week so this is how my week went:
Wednesday 13th July 10
We left at 6:00 to catch a 9:00 plane at Heathrow 3

Thursday 14th July 10
We arrived in Nairobi and waited 3 hours for the plane to Kigali. When we arrived at Kigali we found out that the Westminster under school group were stuck in Paris! Because their flight to Paris had been cancelled meaning that they had missed their flight to Nairobi so they were diverted to Johannesburg so they would arrive at midnight. any way we drove back to Kamembe, it was a 6-hour journey but thanks to Patricks brilliant driving we survived. We arrived at 7pm and had dinner. There were some students and some are still here. Their names are Will, Freddie, Magnus, Georgie, Imogen and John and they are really nice. All the Rwanda aid staff were very happy to see us and francoise had made us an amazing dinner .

Friday 15th July 10
On Friday we went to cyato because we had brought some equipment for them to use.The school looks very good and they are building new classrooms for the secondary section. We gave them lots of shirts and all the equipment we had brought out with us including some musical instruments and a football strip for their team. On friday evening westminster finally arrived but they had no luggage!

Saturday 16th July 10
On Saturday the Westminster group mum, dad and I went to the farm. It was a long walk but it was okay. In the afternoon we wnet to find out about how we can help the street children in Kamembe. Thye are living in the street because they cannot live with their parents any more . In the evening there was an English play at one of the schools because Freddie had been teaching them it for 2 months and there were people pretending to sing songs in the breaks. One of the rappers sang a love song to me! How embarrassing. Well after that we went to a very nice restaurant and ate goat kebabs.

Sunday 17th July 10
On Sunday we had a rounder’s match down by the lake. We played against all the rwanda aid teachers and had a great time

Monday 18th July 10
On Monday we went to ishwa a small island with a health centre that Rwanda aid helps.

Tuesday 19th July 10
On Tuesday we went to Nkombo to teach at the nursery and to look at the houses Rwanda aid built. The boat ride was really good again and two of the students swam back but mum said I would get bilharzia so I couldnt swim!
Wednesday 20th July 10
On Wednesday I went to Mwegera the school that’s doubled with Westminster also on Wednesday will and Freddie left.I helped teach art with George and really enjoyed it

Thursday I went to mwegere only for a half day and on the way back we went and dipped our feet in the big hot spring then went to st matthews and I nearly forgot that its mum and dads 11th anniversary on Saturday.

Friday Jonas took me to the market to buy all the material for the craft ladies to make their produce and allowed me to choose the colours and stlyes. it was great and I chose some ,material for myself. Then we went back to the farm as one of the pigs is pregnant and Magnus is making hives out of twigs and banana leaves

In the evening we ate six kilos of poskr and 3 of bananas at the pork shack!
