Friday
today was the day of the big show. We rehearsed with the morning children , who then did not come back for the afternoon. We went to the headmasters house for a fanta and then there was a big celebration. There were some very long sêeches and some dancing which my dad had to join in.
Saturday
We went to Nkombo to see the site for the new nursery. We went across in a hollowed out wooden boat and the men who rowed us sang. On the island I met a little boy who was very cute and we called him nutkin cos he was eating nuts. We walked a lot back to the boats and rowed back. On the journey back it rained a lot and the cars slid all over the road. Mum? dad and emma from westminster neville and gilly went to the farm whilst the rest of us watched movies.
Sunday
We woke up at 2 am to go to see the chimps. We drove for two hours and when we got to the base we had sandwiches and tea. We walked for a very long time and it was very hard
We went through the trees and up some very high hills and then came down again
We saw lots of noisy chimps and one peed down on us§ We had a very sleepy evening
Monday
We went to ST Matthews and I learned how to skip like a rwandan

ReplyDeleteBilly and I have just read all your news. You have done a lot and had such a varied time. How was the Rwandia skipping you will have to show me when you get back. Everything sounds so interesting and exciting and I would love to be there myself. Grandpa is here and so is Jessie, it is hot to-day so later we will go to Black Park. Jessie and I had Hugs she sends you lots. Have lots of fun Beth.
